The Little Victories

Life is full of small victories. Sometimes these victories come from a small gesture, a kind word, or a memory provided at just the right time.

These are some of my small moments, little victories, and triumphant reminders.

Deep down inside -

Let us all think about this: "Our foolish choices, endless arguments, mistreating of one another, acting out, being entitled and demanding, acting as if we have wisdom that we don’t, questioning authority, finding 'no' more natural to say than 'yes,' being seemingly scarily attracted to the world, our seemingly lack of interest in the things of the Lord, pouting when we don’t get our way, our infantile and unhealthy desire to be right and in control of our lives, and our refusing to be happy until we get what we want, when we want and how we want...  these things are moment-by-moment symptoms of a deep, abiding, and inescapable need that we came into the world with."

These desires are deep down inside.  So deep that we, alone, can't change them or fix ourselves.  We need rescue.  We need God. We need heart change. We need grace. We need surrender. We need Christ!  And we need Him deep down inside if we are ever going to be free from the sin that so easily entangles us.

God, you are good.  I need you.  We need you.  They need you.  Heal our deepest need.  Amen.

Good Morning Theophilus - 03.21.18

This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice... be glad... and start it off by "praising Him for all He is and thanking Him for all He has done." May we praise God for being majestic, wonderful counselor, holy, loving, just —the mighty God. May we thank Him endlessly for His grace, mercy, salvation, love, peace, joy, blessings, favor, presence, and for His power and Spirit and wisdom that makes us victorious. May God, who “is so faithful to us in every season, always working all things for our good— ” make this a wonderful Wednesday! Love you--- Cassius

Well penned lives are authored by God

"God is a magnificent author," and He has penned a thrilling story and "wonderful adventure for your life." It is a storyline packed with punch, purpose, power, passion, prominence, prosperity, the priceless gift of His love and the pleasant peace of His presence. It is a story of grace and boundless love that frees you "from every bondage— shame, fear, doubt, [regret, lust, lies, anger, addiction], pain— from whatever" has or is holding you back and all that scares you. Have a great day living in the plans and promises of God. Love ya, Mr. Cassius

Good Morning Theophilus - 3.19.18

Set your feet firmly on the truth that "God will never do anything that is not the very best for you!" Set your hope confidently in His salvation and never failing promises! Set your mind on His will and on the great things He has planned. Lock your heart, mind, and soul with God and take on the day with confidence and a bold faith. This week will be better than ever. Truly, we "cannot even imagine all that our amazingly good God" is about to and will do. Love you --- Cassius

Who was that someone...

For someone He loved, He was flogged until His flesh was raw. For someone He loved, He took up the Roman cross that weighed three hundred pounds. For someone He loved, He carried that old rugged cross against His bleeding, raw flesh for no less than 650 yards. For someone He loved, He sacrificed Himself for every offense ever committed. For someone He loved, He died an excruciating death on Calvary. For someone He loved, He rose from the grave.

That someone... that someone He loved... it was... you!

Never forget that the birth, life, miracles, signs, wonders, flogging, crucifixion, death, resurrection, and forgiveness He purchased were all for you - His beloved child!

May we ponder the cost, the love, and the sacrifices of CHRIST.  May we take hope in His promises and enjoy the blessings, breakthrough and beauty of His sacrificial, unconditional and covenant love.
