The Little Victories

Life is full of small victories. Sometimes these victories come from a small gesture, a kind word, or a memory provided at just the right time.

These are some of my small moments, little victories, and triumphant reminders.

Encouragement I need...

May you find the encouragement that you need in the words of the devotional by Don Greeley.

God is a source of indescribable power and strength and God cares for us, knows our names, and surrounds us with love.  We can be assured that we are of inestimable worth to our creator and that God buoys us up with love.
These words gave me a great sense of encouragement.  I am someone.  I have tremendous value.  God, who is strong, caring, and loving has chosen to care for me, know my name and shower me with His love.  I am encouraged to smile, to forgive, to love, and to dare to be loved by this truth.

Don Greeley closed his devotional with a prayer for our dark days, days of despair, and moments when we can see the light.  I believe it is the prayers of others, who call forth the indescribable power of God on our behalf, that help us continue on through the valleys.
Prayer: God of light, help us to feel Your love carrying us through the dark places in our lives until light shines forever more. Amen.

May God bless you to be encouraged by these words, or the words of another during your time of need.  I I pray for you to be blessed and that you will enjoy the unmatched blessings and joy of the Eternal God during your journey.

Monday Morning Prayer

Creator of all things, create for us a week that will bless us with spiritual growth, wholeness and healing, grace, favor and blessings upon blessings.

Merciful God, I pray that we will all come to know and trust that You are our ever present help.  Everlasting God, be strong and mighty on our behalf this week and always.

God we praise you and we glorify Your holy name for the awesome work that You have done and will do for us.  Amen.

Newness

May the God of creation and new creations make new opportunities and new roads for you and your family today. May the places once called a wilderness become a flourishing city, the parched, dry ground become a flowing stream, and the blocked pathways lead you to a detour towards  greater heights and hopes.

Blessings to you and enjoy the new things God is doing for you.

Not deterred

I read a really great quote today that brought joy to my day.  The quote was simple and buried in the midst of a larger article.  It read simply:
none of it deters God; in fact, God still cherishes us.
I found great joy in the quote because it was a powerful reminder of what God means when he says that he will "never leave you or forsake you."  It also reminds me of the "real" definition of God's steadfast love.

No matter what we have done, are doing or will do, God still loves and cherishes us and wants a relationship with us more than we know or imagine.  No matter what has, is or will happen, God's love remains unshaken, unmoved, and fixed upon each one of us as His child.  He is not deterred in His plans to bless, love and redeem us.

May your days be filled with reminders of a love that is so amazing and too powerful for the grave.

A blessing for you...

Psalm 115:14-15: May the Lord give you increase, you and your children!  May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth!
My prayer for you:

May the Almighty and Everlasting LORD give you increase in your finances, your faith, your health and your joy.  May the LORD bless you, your family and the generations that will come after you.  May you be blessed and greatly favored from this day forward.

This is my prayer for you, offered with praise and thanksgiving to the LORD, who alone is God, the creator of the heavens and the earth.  Amen.

Nothing less

He [Christ] refused to be guided by anything other than His high call.
Christ refused to be guided by anything other than His high call of pleasing God and doing His Father's will.  We too must settle for nothing less than our utmost for His Highest. We must refuse to be guided by anything else than the steadfast love of God, the command to love others as Christ has loved you, and the desire to take hold of eternal life and the sure promises of God.  Settle for nothing less than serving God with all that we have.  Accept nothing less than his steadfast love and great plans for our lives.

Today I pray that you have this...

May God show you his faithful love, be gracious to you, bring you joy, hope and salvation (Psalm 85,86). May you, with joy, experience the best of His forgiveness, the awesomeness of His abundant love, and the pleasure of knowing Him.
