The Little Victories

Life is full of small victories. Sometimes these victories come from a small gesture, a kind word, or a memory provided at just the right time.

These are some of my small moments, little victories, and triumphant reminders.

Grow. Explore. Challenge. Wow!

Always be willing to learn and grow.

Explore new things and especially things about yourself, and who you are.

Challenge yourself, and challenge others.

Live in the realm of wow.  Recieve, reflect on and recognize how a wonderful and wonder-making God created you to be amazing.

Recognize that you are you! And only you can be you!

A little fuel for your week ahead....

We all need a little fuel for the week.  Here is my prayer for this week adapted and prayed for you as well.

Lord, fill our week with amazing displays of the wonders of Your great love.
Father God, may we find in Your outstretched arms the comfort,
hope, joy and love that we all so desperately want and deeply need.

Have a great week!

Sing a song

Sing of the goodness, mercy and satisfying love of God. He is the great and strong God who loves you.

In the midst of your storms, trials, and challenges God is there.  Never forget that God is with you, God is god and God is good.  May God, the Everlasting and Almighty, grant you victory and give you a song to sing.

A word to get you through - 2.5.14

Its "Hump Day!"  This morning I needed a word to get me over the hump (anxiety, fear, anger, disappointment and fatigue).  In my time of need I went to prayer and then I encouraged myself in the truth.  This is what I told myself:

Let nothing and no one hold you back from the love of the Eternal and all that He is preparing for you.
Romans 8 tells us that there is nothing that can separate us from God's love, so let that truth encourage you to get through today.

My prayer for you is that the best in life and an amazing week will continue to unfold before you.  May you find comfort and strength in the knowledge that you are deeply and eternally loved.

Passing the bread at the table...

You might need these for your journey - consider it passing the bread at the table.

I came across this summary/quote:
"The Gospel keeps driving the same point home again and again. To see Jesus is to see God. To accept him is to accept God. To serve him is to serve God."
I grabbed this idea from a very powerful devotional:
"We live a blessed life.  May God grant us the eyes to see just how blessed we are."

Finally, I believe this section is huge.  It is not my quote but it comes from Nick Harrison's devotional A Life Full of Blessings.  I've said something similar many times before.  I've said that we need to tell ourselves better stories.  The best story we can tell ourselves is the truth:
Tell Yourself the Truth"I am a blessed person! God delights to pour His blessings on me. He has redeemed me in order to show me His blessing. He has given me Himself that I might be blessed. He has blessed me with His riches so that I can benefit others around me. I am blessed in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. As I live out my earthly life, those spiritual blessings impact everything I do. Whatever I put my hand to in my walk with Him is blessed of God because it originates in God. Because of God's blessing, I cannot fail in life. That's His promise!"

To my fellow beggar, enjoy the bread; pass it along and blessings for your journey.
